Russell Willson had an inconsistent season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but judging by his statements, it seems that the quarterback of this team is satisfied with the year behind us. The 36-year-old had an injury that kept him out for a long time, but by returning to the NFL fields, Russell showed his willingness to help the team.
However, at some moments he did not look great, and the fans were not satisfied with his performances.
In the NFL public, there is talk that the experienced player could leave the team.
At the press conference after the last game, Willson surprised many with his optimism and his view of the season behind us. He is satisfied with the team, the organization and many other things.
“The Pittsburgh Steelers organization, man. It's been such a blessing to be here. The guys that we have, the organization, it's truly first class. We love the city, obviously, and what it means, not just to me and Ciara and our family, but just also the National Football League” Wilson told reporters via Bleacher Report.
The experienced quarterback stressesthat playing in this team is a special feeling, and he is especially proud of coach Tomlin, who has shown that he believes in him many times so far. Willson pointed out that this is one of the best years for him, hoping that he will remain a part of this team.
“It's a special place, with special guys. We've got a special coach in Coach Tomlin. We've got a special organization, special people, special players, special fanbase. It's been truly a blessing in my life. It's been one of the best years for me, personally, to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Obviously, I hope I'm here, and everything else. I trust God, whatever that is.”- he concluded.
It's hard to give a straight answer as to how sincere the 36-year-old was. Whether he will remain part of this team, or change his environment, remains to be seen.
