The NBA has historically produced important players, who were at the very top of this competition. There are many popular names over the years who left a huge mark and became a favorite among fans. However, it is clear that there are basketball players who stand out and who are truly the very top of basketball. Baron Davis, a former star of this sport and currently an analyst, shared a list of the five best NBA players in an episode of 'The Draymond Green Show'. There are several interesting names on this list.
"No. 1, SGA (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander)," Davis said. "Front-runner candidate. No. 2, Joker (Nikola Jokic). Just because it's ****. What else can you say? No. 3, (Jayson) Tatum... Giannis (Antetokounmpo) ... because he decided that he's going to turn the Milwaukee Bucks around. Giannis is back to Giannising and doing what he do. And then No. 5 for me is I would say a sleeper in this whole thing is James Harden."
Baron Davis surprised many after he put Harden on the list, but the 45-year-old is delighted with his progress and games in the Clippers. Davis stresses that Harden plays great just like in the best days of his career. By joining the new team, he got an interesting role and developed many aspects of his game.
Baron is delighted with the efficiency of this player who learned a lot in the Clippers.
"Look at what the Clippers have done up until this point in the season," Davis continued. "The Beard is back and I would say back better than ever. Taking that two years in Philadelphia as a playmaker with (Joel) Embiid allowed him to now figure out and redefine his system and now it's working for the Clippers."
Some will agree with his list, some will not, but it is certain that a person like Davis knows how to evaluate and make a true judgment about who deserves to be on this list.
