The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are unlikely to improve their relationship in the coming period, especially when we know that more than a year has passed without both parties being able to reach an agreement. What could this mean? There are two options: One is that both parties want to get the most out of this deal, and the other is that both parties are not maximally open to reaching a final agreement.
In any case, the biggest consequences are felt by fans and golfers, who hope that the leaders of both Tours will think rationally and come up with the best solution for the future of this sport.
The former member of LIV Golf, Eugenio Chacarra, seems angry with the treatment by LIV leaders, who, judging by his statements, created an aversion to this league.
Coming to the controversial Tour, the young golfer was hoping for OWGR points and appearances at the Majors, but he was greeted by something completely different.
“When I joined LIV they promised OWGR and majors,” - he said.
“But it didn’t happen. I trusted them. I was the first young guy, then the others came after I made the decision. But OWGR and majors still hasn’t happened. I saw you last year when they pulled the bid. It’s frustrating, but I’m excited for the new opportunity and to see where my game takes me."
Cchacarra is motivated to secure a PGA Tour card, aware that it can change his life. In recent years, more precisely since the arrival of LIV, the greatest emphasis is placed on money, and the young golfer is obviously not satisfied with that.
Eugenio stresses that he is not a person who is motivated to play golf primarily because of money. He aims to perform at the Majors, qualify for major competitions and make a great career. Playing at LIV obviously could not ensure such a future for him.
It will be interesting to follow his future.
