When it comes to heavyweight boxing, few debates generate as much interest as the question of who has the strongest punch.

Tyson Fury, known for not shying away from big questions or big opponents, recently gave his opinion on the subject, and he did so in his signature, candid style. After sharing the ring with Deontay Wilder and Francis Ngannou, two men known for their devastating power, Fury was asked which of the two has the stronger punch. The “King of the Gypsies” answered without mincing words.

In an interview with The Stomping Ground, Fury said the following:

- Deontay, no doubt about it. Francis Ngannou has a strong punch, but honestly, none of his punches really worried me. It wasn’t like I felt an explosion. He didn’t really shake me once. Just one backhand to the head, and that was it. So Wilder is still the strongest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with, by far.

Deontay Wilder has built a reputation solely on his knockout power. He was the WBC heavyweight champion from 2015 to 2020 and became a household name thanks to his trilogy against Fury. Those three fights, held between 2018 and 2021, were full of drama and demolition, but Fury eventually emerged victorious, knocking Wilder out in their third bout.

The "Bronze Bomber" will return to the ring in exactly one month in a fight against Tyrrell Anthony Herndon.

Retirement

Tyson Fury did not last long in retirement. The former heavyweight world champion said goodbye to boxing in January, but now there are more and more mentions of a big comeback and a showdown in which Anthony Joshua would stand on the other side of the ring.

Tyson, by all accounts, is returning to the ring. Although there is no official confirmation, the official channels of the Gypsy King are proof enough that something big is brewing.

The former champion announced that he was together with his father John at a big meeting, and then, along with a photo with manager Spencer Brown, he announced:

"A deal has been reached."
