There are many who believe that this summer could bring big changes in the ranks of the Los Angeles Lakers, because there are more and more rumors that the team could be without LeBron James.

There have been rumors that the leaders of the Lakers want to shift their focus to Luka Dončić and make him the new face of the franchise. In that story, LeBron could be traded, and there are already mentions of potential new clubs – Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, and even a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Secret meetings and hints: We want to consider what's best for LeBron

Allegedly, everything was agreed at a "secret dinner" where Dončić had already received the green light to take the main role in the team. Meanwhile, the famous basketball player's manager, Rich Paul, further fueled the speculation with his statements.

"We want to consider what's best for LeBron at this stage of his career. He wants to make the most of every season he has left, and the Lakers are aware of that," Paul said.

However, in a new statement to SiriusXM NBA Radio, Paul again remained vague, leaving all options open.

"There are so many voices around the NBA. Everyone is doing their job. It's not up to us to analyze it, or to deny what is true and what is not. Our focus is not on that, we need to enjoy the summer. I have a lot of things to finish. You can't deal with every statement that someone throws out," the famous agent said.

He also added a message for LeBron: "He is expected more than anyone else. But what I always tell him is to continue to find his happiness. He doesn't have to prove everyone wrong. There will always be criticism and that's a lesson for all players."
