Mike Tyson, once considered one of the most dangerous punchers in the history of the heavyweight division, is still a hot topic in the world of boxing.

Although he was often smaller than his opponents, the power of his punches was something unique.

With just one punch, Tyson could knock down even the most famous heavyweights, dominating this sport for years.

Of his 50 professional victories, 44 came by knockout, making him one of the greatest knockouts in boxing history. Today, when his name is mentioned, it is difficult not to remember all those incredible knockouts that produced fear among his opponents.  Mike, on the other hand, is a man who has never talked much about it, until now.

However, Mike stressed a few days ago that he does not believe that strength alone was the key to his success, but that there was another, more important factor.

‘‘Yes, I was a strong puncher, but what really made the difference in my knockouts was my precision. If I hit the right spot...’’ Tyson said in an interview with Interview Magazine.

Mike Tyson talks about his punch

According to him, the power of the punch was not the only factor that influenced his power in the ring. Comparing himself to other great heavyweights like George Foreman, Tyson points out that they also had incredible strength, but also the way they punched, for example, from the back of the head or from the side behind the ears, which could cause a knockout in an instant.

In addition to being precise, Tyson in his best days also had physical strength that made him even greater.

The legendary boxer left a lasting mark on the sport, and many boxers started their careers in the sport because of him. The great Mike is known as a humble person, who often praises his opponents, and sometimes underestimates himself even though he has no reason to. Only the determined and strong can have such a career, and he was that one.
