After the scandal that happened a few days ago in the NBA, there was an express response from the leader of the strongest basketball league in the world.

The American professional basketball league (NBA) has fined five players from Detroit and Minnesota for fighting during a match between these two teams earlier this week, the NBA reported today. Although the fans of these teams, as well as the players and the administration, are not satisfied with these punishments, it seems that now it is too late for everyone, considering that their behavior was far from acceptable.

Detroit player Isaiah Stewart was suspended for two matches, while his teammates Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser were suspended for one match each.

Minnesota players Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo also earned one-match suspensions. The fight took place in the second quarter of the match, when Holland and Reid entered the conflict. This moment will surely mark this season, but it seems that some cannot calm the tensions on the floor, visibly eager and motivated to celebrate.

The NBA said Stewart received a two-game suspension "due to a repeated history of unsportsmanlike conduct."

In the aforementioned match, everything started with Ron Holland and Naz Reid's tussle, and it culminated when Donte DiVincenzo got involved in the "fight". In a second, there were a lot of players in one place, so it was difficult to determine what specifically happened between the players.

Pablo Prigioni

Isaiah Stewart and Marcus Sasser, as well as Wolves' assistant Pablo Prigioni and Pistons' first coach J. B. Bickerstaff, had to go to the locker room ahead of time.

Minnesota won with a score of 123:104.

Let's hope that there will be no more situations like this, although it is clear that every season brings such things. However, the only thing that remains is to hope that the NBA can bring as few scandals as possible, and that the focus will be mostly on the performances of individuals on the NBA floors.
