I was hoping at some point in time, I’d be standing in the shower and have a moment of inspiration – ‘yep let’s go in that direction’. That didn’t happen, it was a much slower process."- he said.
The experienced engineer acknowledge feeling honored by the interest from so many teams wanting him on board. However, it was Lawrence Stroll’s vision, passion, and enthusiasm that ultimately convinced Newey that he wanted to build his career with Aston Martin.
