What particularly attracts attention is the price; Walter and the group of investors he gathered will pay the Buss family as much as ten billion dollars for a 66% stake in the club.
This means that the total value of this team is estimated at an incredible 15 billion dollars. For comparison, less than a year earlier, the organization was valued at 6.5 billion.

Almost half a century later, his daughter Jeanie Buss, who removed her brother Jim from the board, made the decision to sell the club for a record sum, the highest ever recorded in American professional sports.
At the same time, their rival, the Boston Celtics, were recently sold for $6.1 billion, further demonstrating how the market for sports franchises is growing rapidly.
The legendary Magic Johnson shared his positive emotions, while the young basketball player Luka Dončić, who recently joined this team, said:
