Isack Hadjar, a young driver, had a difficult start to his Formula One career after retiring from the Australian Grand Prix due to an accident that ruined his debut. In wet conditions in Melbourne, Hadjar lost control of his car and ended his race before it even started. Although he had shown great potential up until then, it was quite difficult to experience that.

Big-name support

After retiring his car, Hadjar could not hide his disappointment, feeling a combination of anger, disbelief and shame at the accident. However, what followed was quite important for his mindset. Anthony Hamilton, father of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, was the first to come forward and offer him support. Hadjar admitted how much the gesture meant to him, as Hamilton’s father was there when he needed it most.

However, Red Bull’s advisor, Helmut Marko, had a different approach.

Marko criticized Hadjar's reaction, calling it "a shameful, tearful performance."

Although this young driver was a bit surprised, he was aware of Marko's communication style.

In a conversation with him, Isack said that the situation was unfortunately interpreted, as many people misunderstood him.

Helmut Marko is known for never mincing words when expressing his opinions. He is often very direct, and sometimes his criticisms can be harsh or even careless. Although he is known for his strict approach, Marko is also a person who makes his thoughts clear, without mincing words. It is not unusual for him to criticize drivers or team members, and his style of communication often produces reactions.

Support from Lewis Hamilton

One of the biggest supports Hadjar received came from Lewis Hamilton, who sent him a message after the accident. Hadjar recalled that Anthony Hamilton said that the moment reminded him of a famous situation in which Lewis Hamilton was forced to stop his car in the pits at the 2007 Chinese Grand Prix.

These words gave him additional strength and confirmed how important support among colleagues is in this sport.
