John Cena has shared his experience with skin cancer and is now dedicated to encouraging his fans to use sunscreen. The WWE legend has become a "spokesman" for skin protection, stressing that prevention is always better than cure.
A month ago, the famous wrestler shared an emotional message that surprised many.
Cena admitted that he never used sunscreen while growing up in Massachusetts, and he continued to neglect the importance of it during his life in Florida. Now he is urging others not to follow in his footsteps, as he recently learned the hard news about his health due to this neglect.
"I fell in love with the sun" when I moved to Florida, which is known as the "Sunshine State," says Cena, adding that he didn't realize the importance of skin care at the time. "I was too stubborn to start using sunscreen," he admitted. "I thought the problem would never get to me. I had a lot of exposure with minimal protection, and it caught up with me."
Dermatological examination
After going for a dermatological examination, Cena learned that he had a "cancerous spot" on the right side of his pectoral muscle, which was later surgically removed. Although he was in a panic when he received the invitation to return for additional examinations, he said that the following year he had another spot that was removed.
Cenaexplained that fans will be able to spot these blemishes on footage from WWE events, adding: "I was lucky enough to have a great dermatologist who, I mean, held my hand and told me I'm not alone. The statistics about it are scary, but as much as I learn about it, those numbers don't mean anything. I think it's the best way to highlight the human connection. As a human, I can tell you: that call is not something you want to get, because it's unpredictable and you don't know how bad it's going to get." to be."
