The former UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo is keeping an eye on the significant fights happening in the division he once ruled. His final verdict for the upcoming title fight between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili is very simple: he can foresee Merab Dvalishvili claiming a win with a stoppage.

Grappling, in most cases, quite seamlessly overtakes striking. Merab has a solid grappling base, but that shouldn't allow one to underestimate Sean O'Malley.

Am I crazy for thinking this will be one of Sean O'Malley’s easier fights?? I like Merab but he’s a little chinny and has next to no finishing abilities pic.twitter.com/LmRA4XqTa2 — Elon Rakhmonov (Fan) ?? (@ElonRakhmonov) August 26, 2024

Henry Cejudo on Sean O'Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Henry Cejudo shared his thoughts on Sean O'Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili.

"This is my prediction," Cejudo said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. "Merab Dvalishvili is going to stop Sean O'Malley at the Sphere. He's going to beat him. He's going to either 50-45 him, maybe not 50-45 because he may lose the first two rounds or the first one at least.

He's going to beat him, but once Umar (Nurmagomedov) comes in, he's just going to have his way with Merab. He really is. Umar is really good, really technical."

Henry Cejudo on flyweight aspirations

"Am I going to fight just to fight? Or am I going to chase something?.

I'm after gold now, and I think if I do go down to 125 pounds and stay disciplined, I just don't think there's anyone in the world that beats me."
