The last NASCAR race brought a lot of frustration for Kyle Busch, who was left surprised by the events of this race. Namely, the famous driver had to take his car behind the wall during the race, but after the race he criticized the new policy on damaged vehicles. After the crash, his team tried to fix things and use the new DVP rule, where after the fix you have the right to continue the race.

His car returned to the track under the yellow flag, but this great driver went into the pit stop to make further repairs while the yellow flag was still on the track.

However, NASCAR officials said that the experienced driver did not reach minimum speed after the repairs. By doing so, he broke the DVP rule, and was excluded from the race.

Kevin Harvick shares his view

Although Kyle was angry, Kevin Harvick, his former opponent, shared his opinion. Kevin believes that his team has not met the conditions necessary for the race to continue.

“When you look at Kyle Busch’s situation, this is the exact same thing that got him in trouble last year. They had a penalty on pit road, put him in the back of the pack, got themselves back up there. Then, it came down to an accident there at the end. They got towed back to the pits. … They get back, and there are some technicalities in that rule. You know, they sent the car back out on the racetrack, and then they brought the car back into the garage."-Harvick said, as quoted by On3.

Harvick continued, stressing that returning the car to the garage finds that the car must reach minimum speed when it returns to the track. The experienced driver emphasizes that they did not go to the green flag, but returned to the pit, which is technically not allowed. Kevin questions whether things will stay as they are or if the team misinterpreted the rules.

These are certainly disappointing moments for a driver of such caliber, who after a disappointing previous season, seems to be continuing in the same rhythm this season.
