GTA 6 is probably the most talked about thing in the world in years. Fans of this video game know why, and there's no need to go into any further detail.

We know that the first trailer for GTA 6 set new records at one time. With 93 million views on the first day, it became the most viewed video on YouTube outside the music video category, at least until the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine followed in 2024. However, now the second trailer for the highly anticipated GTA 6 has been released, so it will be interesting to see how it fared.

Looking at the statistics on YouTube alone, the second GTA 6 video recorded fewer views than the premiere trailer (83 million views after less than two days), but it is already the most viewed video for a new game in 2025, and there is no doubt about that. This time, Rockstar turned the story around and released the trailer on various platforms, not just YouTube. The result is that they collected 475 million views on all platforms combined within the first 24 hours of its release.

With that, Rockstar claims to have the most viewed trailer of all time.

That statistic brought a big smile to the face of the owner of the song “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters. The song featured in the GTA 6 trailer saw a 182,000% jump in Spotify plays. In other words: one hundred and eighty-two thousand percent.

Doubts

As is often the case, there were some doubts about the legitimacy of what was shown. The game looks really good, so some suspected that Rockstar was not showing actual, edited footage from the game. Although they did not mention this in the video itself, Rockstar later said that all the footage was captured directly and entirely from the game itself, on the PlayStation 5 console, and that it shows cutscenes and gameplay.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this video game, and it is needless to say how much impatience exists due to the long wait. Rockstar, on the other hand, calls for patience, stressing that they want to give gamers the best and most unique experience so far.
