The Cleveland Browns didn’t perform well during their regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. The starters must establish some chemistry after limited game action in training camp and no games during the preseason.
The Browns face a tough beginning of the season which will be crucial for them. Still, starting right guard Wyatt Teller is telling the supporters not to panic despite the ungracious beginning. His sentiments were reiterated during the post-game media session on Sunday evening.
“Calm down. It sucks, I hate losing, but calm down, it’s ok,” Teller said on record. The Browns again had some injury issues, as both of their starting tackles, Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin, were out. These injuries didn’t do Teller or the rest of the offensive line any favors.
Even with the fierceness of the Dallas pass rush, Teller did not attribute it as a factor for their failings. Next Sunday, the Browns would like to have both Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills available for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.
However, the first unit is not known as the team is still waiting for injury news on a few players. Fans have been displeased with the team's start, but Teller’s words show it's not all that bad in the locker room.
Teller Stresses Positivity
Though this is a sad loss for Browns fans, Teller advises everyone that there is no need to go negative.
He sees it, but it is something that can be surmounted, so expect some frustrations at this level. It will not be easy, either, for the Browns since, from now on, they have a strict schedule, and their improvement rate has to be relatively fast to reach expectations.
For instance, as supporters are eager for the next contest, Teller’s comforted statement may bring about tranquility in the midst of a plethora of issues. The energy is shifting as the Browns hope to start winning games, as some players may be back, and they want to show their dominance.
