Tony Stewart has had a busy week, but one he will remember for the rest of his life. After the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, the popular driver became a father. He and his wife, Leah Pruett, became parents to their first son, Dominic James Stewart.
Many of his colleagues decided to congratulate him on the birth of his son, and one of them is Kevin Harvick.
He congratulated the popular driver on the 'Happy Hour' podcast, wishing him well as a father. Harvick admitted that he has plans to visit them after the birth of his son and enjoy the moment when he sees Stewart holding the child. It is a special moment that every man dreams of.
“And oh, congratulations, daddy Smoke. Tony Stewart and his wife, Leah, had their baby over the weekend. … I can’t wait. Once they get their feet on the ground, I’m going to visit. I have to see this with my own two eyes. The baby, and I want to see dad holding the baby."-Harvick said, as quoted by On3.
Harvick didn't just want to praise Stewart, but also believed that Leah would be a great mother. He emphasized that he wants to be a part of that story and see how Tony handles the role of father, although it's too early to talk about it. Harvick made many laugh by sharing what else he wants to see.
"I know mom’s going to be a great mom and I know Tony’s going to be a great dad, but I just have to visually see him hold the baby and I just want to be there long enough for it to crap its pants and he has to change the diaper."- Harvick continued.
The former NASCAR driver and podcast host jokingly admitted that it would be great to spend time with Stewart's wife and baby while he was in the car. He once again confirmed how excited he is for Steward, congratulating them once again.
Competing in the NHRA this season, the experienced Stewart has impressed everyone. The former NASCAR driver and team owner is making big things happen in the NHRA and was named the 2024 NHRA Rookie of the Year. In an interview with the media, he could not hide his delight at this award, and despite being 53 years old, his passion and love for adrenaline are still there.
It will be interesting to see if his role as a father will change him, considering that the arrival of a child often affects parents, who also change. In his speech after winning the big award, Stewart pointed out that there are many quality drivers in the NHRA, but he is happy that, as an individual, he managed to win such an award. He hopes that the NHRA will progress and grow year after year.

It must also be pointed out that Stewart was in a huge mess because of everything, and he had a problem coordinating all his obligations. After qualifying in Pomona, California, for the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, Stewart rushed to the airport and successfully arrived at the hospital in time to welcome the birth of his son. However, a few hours later, the experienced driver had to make an express trip back to Pomona to compete in the semifinals of the NHRA Finals. In an interview with the media, he pointed out that the whole process stimulated a lot of adrenaline. The experienced driver didn't even have time to sleep, so he had to hurry to get everything done.
“I think I’ve ran on adrenaline all day,” he said.
“I literally showed up at the race track this morning on two hours sleep, and I didn’t do near the work that my wife did in the last year, and especially the last 10 months.”
Tony admitted that the three hours he spent with Dominic were hours he would never forget, and there is no price for such moments. Stewart stressed that he would do it again for his little boy, his wife, and his family. Although he didn't win the race, for him, the birth of a child is the greatest victory, and Tony Stewart can rightly be happy. These are moments that are never forgotten, so for Stewart, such moments will forever remain etched in his memory.
His wife also reacted via social media, pointing out that she was aware of the importance of the race for her husband, but she equally hoped that her husband would be able to make it to the birth of his son. Given that he succeeded in that, both have the right to be happy and enjoy the moment they have been waiting for so long.
