The Queen of the UFC Flyweight division, Valentina Shevchenko, persevered a lot and eventually rose victoriously to recapture the prestigious belt. She and Alexa Grasso locked horns quite intensely, and after 5 rounds of action, the judges declared Valentina Shevchenko the winner by unanimous decision.
Right from the beginning of the fight, Shevchenko seemed to be slightly hungrier than Alexa Grasso, and her survival/domination from round 1 to 5 makes the statement valid. The fight had a blend of striking and grappling. It will be very interesting to see who Shevchenko ends up defending her belt against.
Alexa Grasso fell quite short; however, a setback is nothing but an opportunity to make a comeback, and her fans will be waiting for her to rise back to the top.
Alex Grasso -120 fought her worst fight of the trilogy Aside from submission chances from bottom, she was totally outclassed by Shevchenko tonight.
