It's not uncommon for top track and field runners to engage in challenges with other athletes, and one of the latest challenges comes from NFL star Tyreek Hill. He invited the Olympic champion at 100 meters, Noah Lyles, to a race that could unite two of the fastest athletes in the world. Lyles, who had already earned a reputation as one of the fastest athletes, was already an Olympic and world champion in the 100 meters, as well as a three-time champion in the 200 meters. On the other hand, Hill is the fastest player in the NFL, known for his exceptional speed that allows him to dominate the field.
The challenge comes from Tyreek Hill
This duel was challenged by Tyreek Hill himself, who stated during August that he believes he can beat Lyles. "This is a topic that's been around for a while on social media, but now I want to show people what real speed is," Hill said.
To this Lyles answered confidently, stressing that although many may claim to be the fastest, he is always the winner when "things come to an end". He pointed out that each of his triumphs was achieved in key moments.
Both are now ready for the duel, and the only thing left is to agree on the exact distance for the race. Hill would like it to be the 40-yard dash, as it is run at the NFL combine, while Lyles prefers the 100-yard dash, which is his standard event. Given that it is obvious that it will not be easy to find a compromise, it is likely that they will decide on some middle ground that could satisfy both of them.
It will be interesting to see what awaits us in the future, considering that they are both fast, but most people think that Lyles will have an easy task, because running is primarily his job. Still, all we have left to do is enjoy it, that's the main thing.
