Tony Khan, the main man of AEW, decided to make a comment regarding the new 'WWE ID' program that the whole wrestling scene is buzzing about. The new program could change many things in the wrestling scene, and open the way for new talents and new names in the wrestling scene. Tony Khan decided to comment on the changes in the wrestling scene.

After AEW Full Gear 2024, the AEW president pointed out that such ideas are quite interesting. Although he isn't sure which way things will go, Khan believes that things could look positive. He referred to AEW, and their way of attracting young talents, considering that during the pandemic, AEW was the best place for the development of young talents.

“It’s interesting. I don’t really know how it’s going to work. I understand there is some kind of first right or refusal aspect of it. We haven’t come up where it’s been a conflict yet. I do think it’s going to affect the independent scene in some ways. We’ve had a really great experience here over the years bringing in young wrestlers. Through the pandemic, the best place for independent wrestlers to get work was at AEW and on AEW Dark and Elevation.”- Tony Khan said, as quoted by ewrestlingnews.

Khan also noted that AEW has had success in bringing in talented wrestlers from the indie scene, including big free agents, as well as talented wrestlers who have been a part of AEW since the beginning. He emphasized that AEW will continue to sign new talent from the independent scene, but also that WWE's new program will certainly bring changes. While it hasn't caused any major conflicts yet, Khan believes that it'll have an impact on indie wrestling and that it'll be important to watch how the situation develops.

Many prominent personalities of the wrestling scene will become part of the WWE ID program, and one of them is Kylie Rae. She will become the last independent star who wants to start a part of this story. Gabe Sapolsky had only words of praise for her, considering her one of the best workers. Wrestling fans remember with nostalgia Rae, who became part of AEW 2019. However, she didn't stay long in this company, as she was looking for a new adventure in her career.

WWE has pointed out that 17 names will be part of the new ID Program, and some of them are Cappuccino Jones, Zayda Steel, Aaron Rourke, Jackson Drake, Marcus Mathers, Sam Holloway, Ice Williams, Zoe Sager, and many others. The goal of this program is to build a bridge between WWE and the independent scene.

The idea seems great and has met with positive reactions.

Tony Khan on black talents

Tony Khan didn't only talk about the new AEW project, but also talked about many other topics. In a recent interview, the AEW boss revealed what plans he has when it comes to AEW, talking about what he wants to do in the future, Khan has a lot of ideas, but he puts a special emphasis on black talents, who are doing magical things in this company.

Tony Khan is known as the leader of AEW who wants to give everyone a chance, believing that everyone from young talents to experienced ones deserves a chance. Khan has never divided people by skin color, nationality, or any other characteristic. His wishes have always been to give a chance to everyone who really has potential.

During an interview with CHGO Sports, AEW CEO Tony Khan answered the question about highlighting black talent in AEW programs, and whether it was a conscious decision or just a result of skill.

Khan explained that it was a conscious decision, but also a reflection of the talent that's available. He stressed that AEW is lucky to have some of the best wrestlers, including some of the best black wrestlers in the world. There are many talented black wrestlers in AEW, who have welcomed their chance. The AEW boss added that they've been lucky to be able to build and promote these stars, and also have had the opportunity to bring in many great free agents. Khan believes that AEW now has most of the best black wrestlers in the world. While he recognizes the importance of this representation, Khan also believes that it's a very positive thing for the company.

AEW wants to continue this practice in the future, believing that black talent can really help them develop in the right direction. Of course, AEW will not change its policy significantly in the future, at least when it comes to black talents.
