In an interview with Vlad TV, Swerve Strickland revealed details that intrigued fans four years ago. Namely, the famous WWE fighter revealed what was the prelude to the exclusion of Hit Row from WWE. The group at the time, which consisted of Strickland, Top Doll, B-Fab and Ashanta Adonis, did great things in WWE, but the SmackDown adventure didn't last long, as WWE executives decided to fire them.

Strickland revealed that it all started when a member of Hit Row had a tense phone conversation with a WWE employee regarding B-Fab's flight. The main man of the company, Vince McMahon raised his voice at them, visibly frustrated and angry.

“We’re meeting with Vince. He was apparently upset… He’s like, ‘First off, that’s none of your business. You’re a talent… Don’t worry about anybody else, even if it’s in your group.’ … Vince is just barking at us with Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis behind him like puppy dogs. I was just like, wow.”- he said, as quoted by Pwmania.

Sami Zayn segment and McMahon's reaction

After the segment with Sami Zayn, they thought the story was over and that they had resolved the issues. However, the WWE leader is known for never forgetting things.

“We come in the back, shake Vince’s hand—‘That was great.’ Then Sami comes back and says, ‘Apparently Vince hated it.’ We’re like… we just saw him five minutes ago.”- he continued.

The famous wrestler believes it all started with a WWE backstage member.

“Apparently, he upset somebody in the back somewhere, somehow… I’ll never forget, Bruce Prichard looks at me and says, ‘You’re the veteran of the group… take control.’ Two weeks later, we all get let go.”- he said.

Strickland reveals that he later heard from other WWE employees and fighters that one member of the group was the main reason for the tensions that arose during that period, resulting in their dismissal.
