NBA fans were eager to hear who would be the NBA Rookie of the Year, and it seems that most are satisfied with the choice.

San Antonio Spurs player Stephon Castle won the NBA Rookie of the Year award this season.

In his first season in the world's strongest league, Castle averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists.

He has been a force to be reckoned with since the beginning of the season, playing brilliantly and keeping his rhythm. Although fans had various favorites regarding the rookie of the season, Castle seems to have been the player who most deserved this award in an interesting competition.

In total, Castle won 482 points in the Rookie of the Year election, second place went to the first pick of last year's draft, Zaccharia Risacher from the Atlanta Hawks with 245 points, and third place went to Jaylen Wells from the Memphis Grizzlies with 123.

Zaccharia Risacher, the 20-year-old Frenchman also had a great season, but unfortunately for him, Castle seemed much better. However, both are promising players who have a bright future, and the potential to become MVPs of this league in the coming years. Of course, it is too early to talk about it, since it is difficult to predict which direction a basketball player's career will go.

These two basketball players are the most promising for now, but of course Wells is also a young player who really has great foundations for success.

By the way, Castle was the fourth player selected in last year's draft, and for the second year in a row this award went to a Spurs player, last year's best rookie was Victor Wembanyama. Before them, two other legendary San Antonio players, Tim Duncan and David Robinson, won this award.

This is only the second time in history that players from the same club have won the Rookie of the Year award two seasons in a row, before that only Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to do it in the 2014/15 seasons. and 2015/16.
