Stewart's opinion on Hamilton's move: He shares his skepticism
"Ferrari is the most recognizable name in the world," Stewart told Sky Sports. "If you went to any Maasai warrior in Africa and asked him about Ferrari, he would know what brand it was."
Although Stewart is aware of Ferrari's huge reputation, he could not hide a certain skepticism about Hamilton's decision, although he admits that he himself was attracted to the idea of driving for the Italian team in previous years. Nevertheless, Stewart is not worried about Hamilton's abilities, believing that he is now "more experienced than ever" and that he knows exactly what he is doing.
Hamilton has already completed his first tests with Ferrari in Fiorano and Barcelona. The world will get a chance to see his new car on February 19, when Ferrari unveils the new model. The British driver will certainly have many challenges ahead, including the role of team principal, but Stewart believes that Hamilton is capable enough to withstand the pressure of working for one of the most famous teams in Formula 1 history.
