The second and third rounds of the NFL draft are over, and it can already be concluded that this was not a quarterback draft. Only four have been drafted so far, and one of them is Jalen Milroe.
Two were drafted in the first round, one in the second, and one in the third. The one in the third is Milroe, a quarterback from the prestigious University of Alabama.
Milroe was drafted with the 92nd pick by the Seattle Seahawks. And it brought back certain memories, especially for those who hold this franchise close to their hearts.
Seattle last drafted the quarterback in the third round in 2012. We all know that it was Russell Wilson who later won the only Lombardi trophy in the history of the franchise.
Could Milroe be the one? In the recently concluded season, he recorded 2,844 passing yards, 64.3% of passes completed, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Interestingly, he ran more touchdowns, as many as 20. Seattle signed Sam Darnold in this transfer window.
Fans have mixed emotions about everything, not knowing if this player can really make a difference and be the key to the team's success in the future. Analysts, experts and fans have divided opinions, but this great player will best show in the coming period whether he really deserves to wear this jersey.
Of course, it is too early to give predictions, given that he will need time. The fans will have to stay calm, have faith in him, and make sure that Milroe is one of the greatest potentials.
