The 11th-ranked UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano is more than ready to share the cage with Paddy Pimblett, who recently made his way to the competitive lightweight rankings. From the ‘money’ aspect, this fight would attract a lot of attention.
Thus promising both individuals generous sums of finances. And as far as entertainment is concerned, it will doubtlessly be an engaging spectacle. Both fighters occassionally fire shots at each other. Renato Moicano is progressively making his way to the top – he is all set to lock horns with Benoit Saint-Denis on 28th September.
Paddy Pimblett wants a similar route to the title as Sean O'Malley:
"The perfect route to the title would have been [Renato] Moicano and then Charles Oliveira.
Renato Moicano on fighting Paddy Pimblett
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Renato Moicano shared his thoughts on facing Paddy Pimblett in the near future.
“I don’t want to talk too much shit because I don’t have nothing against the guy,” Moicano said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “I think he’s a great human being. I think he’s a good fighter, but he’s not in his prime anymore — Beneil Dariush, he’s still ranked and if I could choose to fight Beneil Dariush or fight Benoit Saint Denis or even Paddy Pimblett, or sometimes even Bobby Green — I would choose somebody else at the moment.
100 percent, I would be willing to fight Paddy Pimblett, I think Paddy Pimblett will be a great fight. But let’s see Sept. 28, and then I will talk some shit”.
