Alex Pereira is undoubtedly the biggest UFC story of the last few years. As a two-time Glory champion, "Poatan" followed his old rival Israel Adesanya into the octagon of the world's largest MMA organization, and then in four years won titles in two different weight categories (middleweight and light heavyweight) and defeated numerous prominent names and former champions.

Two months ago, however, Pereira lost his "light heavyweight" title to Magomed Ankalaev, and it seemed that problems in the relationship between the 37-year-old Brazilian and the UFC followed. At least, that was the conclusion drawn from today's post on "Poatan's" official X profile, in which his continuation of his career in the UFC, or rather his continuation of his fighting career in general, was called into question.

"I always answered the UFC's calls, but if they want to play with me, we can do that. I’ve never spoken poorly of the UFC but with what I’ve just heard I’m disheartened. I’ve already had thoughts of not fighting anymore, and after what was just relayed to me this may be the start of that," the disappointed Brazilian said on X.

The post in question resonated loudly in the fighting world, and while numerous analysts, journalists and fans discussed whether Pereira's post was due to dissatisfaction with possible complications surrounding the rematch with Magomedov, the date of his next fight, a dispute over finances or something else, the Brazilian took to another social network, Instagram, and said that he had been hacked, that is, that he had not written any of the things mentioned on X.

- I received a bunch of messages, I get messages from everyone who saw the post on my Twitter. I didn't even know about it, I was hacked, it's been a while since I posted anything. I was hacked and I'm going to fix it, I don't even know what's going on. I have a great relationship with the UFC. People like to do bad things. That's it. Chama - said Pereira in a video posted on his Instagram.
