Paddy Pimblett is officially the 15th-ranked UFC lightweight contender; his climb to the top begins with his very next fight. The rising contender is not fully sure of his return but is hopeful of locking horns with Renato Moicano in the first quarter of 2025.

However, it does not eliminate the chances of a return before the year ends. Paddy is fine with a December showdown.

Paddy Pimblett wants a similar route to the title as Sean O'Malley:

"The perfect route to the title would have been [Renato] Moicano and then Charles Oliveira.

Paddy on his return

In a recent interview with cage warriors, Paddy 'the baddy' shed some light on when he plans to return.

“I have no idea at the minute, I think the only card that I could possibly fight on is December again in Vegas, but nothing’s been said at the minute. I know Moicano’s fighting (this) week, can’t see him coming back soon enough for December, so could end up being next year, early next year”.

Renato Moicano admits Paddy Pimblett "deserves some respect" after his win over King Green:

"I think Paddy Pimblett is a tougher matchup than Dan Hooker. Back in the day, I would be crazy to say that."
