Troy Aikman is a Dallas Cowboys legend and an iconic name in the football arena. He opened up about the issues he underwent after his divorce from Catherine ‘Capa’ Mooty. The two married in 2017 but separated in July 2023, which marked the end of Aikman's second marriage.

Despite being in the public eye for countless years as a sporting events television announcer, Aikman managed to keep all private matters secret until the end of his relationship with Mooty. During one of his interviews with The Athletic, Aikman revealed, "A failure.

That was my rock bottom," which revealed more about him than he intended. This addressed why such a breakup with Mooty caused a lot of pain. Initially reported by People magazine, the couple’s engagement, which came at a holiday to Lake Como, Italy, captured great coverage as the couple had accelerated from dating to getting engaged within a year.

Nevertheless, about the emperor's addiction, Aikman commented that he has never been able to dull life’s delightful pleasures. "For me, contentment was always a four-letter word. I never wanted to be content," Aikman said.

"I didn’t wanna be around anyone who was content. That’s just not a place I could land."
