There are only a few days left until the spectacle of UFC 314, where the duel between Paddy Pimblett and Michael Chandler is attracting special attention. Both fighters are very popular, and this match could determine the further course of their careers. Michael wants to break the negative streak and save his reputation, while the young Briton wants to continue his upward trajectory in his career and prove to critics that the organization is not pushing him to the top.

Pimblett has already gained the status of one of the most recognizable British MMA fighters today with his charisma, which has given him great marketing potential. So far, he has achieved six victories in the same number of UFC appearances, defeating Tony Ferguson, Bobby Green, and Jared Gordon, among others. But even that was not enough to silence the critics because, allegedly, these opponents were in the twilight of their careers and were deliberately paired for the match with the Briton so that he would have the advantage.

Still, 6-0 in what many consider the most competitive lightweight category in the UFC is clear proof that Paddy's time is yet to come. The fight against Michael Chandler, a former Bellator champion and one of the most explosive UFC fighters, will be a real test for Paddy, and MMA legend Demetrious Johnson thinks Paddy will continue his winning streak.

"I think he'll be a champion one day. If he doesn't become a champion, he'll be one of those guys who were good but never became a champion, like Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez. He (Paddy) does everything right. Paddy can grapple, he can fight on the feet, he can do everything," Mighty Mouse praised the young Brit on his YouTube channel.

Many criticized Pimblett for not having a good enough defense and for taking punches easily, which could allegedly be used by the explosive Michael Chandler on Saturday. However, Demetrious Johnson believes the blond Brit will be able to get out of this exchange of punches.

"I can imagine Michael Chandler hitting him twice, pushing him against the cage, and knocking him down. That's when Paddy's wonderful jiu-jitsu will come into play, and he'll try to finish Chandler," said Johnson, who sees Pimblett as the favorite in this fight.
