Golf fans know how popular Jon Rahm is in the golf world. His joining LIV Golf spoiled everything he had previously built, and his performances at the Majors after the sudden 'transfer' were not impressive.

Although the Spaniard was the main weapon of the PGA Tour before he went the other way, he decided to accept the fabulous offer of the Saudi-backed Tour, and produced fierce reviews from the public.

The 31-year-old enters the final round at the PGA Championship, the second Major of the year, five shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler. Rahm is currently T5, being an optimist before the final round, which will start in a few hours.

“Hard to express how hungry I may be for a major – about as hungry as anybody can be in this situation,” Rahm said, as quoted by NBC

“Just very excited to be in this position and looking forward to hopefully having a good Sunday tomorrow.”

Rahm reveals the main problem

From the moment of his arrival on the controversial Tour, Rahm did not excel at the Majors, with fans wondering where the main problem lies? The media speculate that it is a question of less competitiveness at LIV Golf, as well as a different system and schedule, but Jon disagrees with such rumors.

The Spanish golfer believes that the problem lies in him, specifically his swing, which creates massive problems for him. Despite this, Rahm is really playing impressively in the last Majors.

“Me going to LIV and playing worse in majors had nothing to do with where I was playing golf,” Rahm said. “My swing was simply not at the level it had to be for me to compete. It’s easier to post a score on non-major championship courses and venues, and I think when you get to the biggest stages like this one and these courses, those flaws are going to get exposed – and it did. ..."-he concluded.

LIV fans are optimistic that one of their golfers will end up on top, but such a scenario seems a little realistic, at least that's what the experts emphasize.
