Joey Logano is a driver with a rich history in NASCAR and plenty of memorable moments on the track. Despite all his successes and achievements, there are still some critics who find fault with him, especially after the most recent NASCAR race. On a recent appearance on NASCAR SiriusXM Radio, Logano addressed the criticism he received following the race, with some pointing out that he was "lucky" to make it into the NASCAR Championship 4.

Logano also talked about some of the moves made by NASCAR and the drivers this season, mentioning how some had an excessive hunger for success. The experienced NASCAR driver believes his team definitely deserved a spot in the Championship 4.

“If we’re all supposed to be playing on an equal playing field and they pushed it too far, you’re going to get dinged for it,” Logano said, as quoted by On3

“We all push it far and however it happened, I don’t know. But they went too far and NASCAR had to put the foot down. We were next in line. Does that make us lucky? No, we were next in line for a reason and we had to race against a car that wasn’t legal. We had the spot the whole time."

Joey Logano shared that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and he understands that. He mentioned that he's heard a lot of different views, especially on the radio channel, and he appreciates the variety of opinions. But for him, making it to the Championship 4 is not about luck; he believes every driver who gets there deserves to be there. According to Logano, no one makes it to the Championship 4 without earning their spot in some way.

34-year-old has a wealth of experience behind him and is confident he understands the NASCAR landscape and what it takes to reach the top. From day one, he believed he could make it to the final race and once again claim the NASCAR Cup Series Championship. His team has placed their full trust in him, knowing what Joey is capable of delivering in key moments. Now, they are just one step away from their goal, and it will be exciting to see if they can overcome the competition and emerge as champions.

Joey Logano went on to explain that every driver starts with the same opportunity. When the season begins in February at Daytona, everyone has an equal chance to make it to the Championship 4.

The key to NASCAR is staying focused from the beginning to the end of the season, maintaining a steady rhythm, and using that consistency to reach the goal. Joey Logano and his team understand NASCAR’s dynamics and the importance of being consistent throughout the season. As an experienced driver, Logano always believed that such a scenario could become a reality, and now he is determined to turn that dream into reality by staying focused and continuing to push toward victory.

He emphasized that it doesn’t matter how a driver gets there; what matters is that they all have the same chance. Logano stressed that his team might not have been the top seed, or even one of the top ten, but they managed to navigate through the rounds and earn their place in the Championship 4.

Phoenix Raceway and penalties

Phoenix Raceway is expected to draw a lot of attention from NASCAR fans, and many eyes will be on Joey Logano. The penalties that sparked controversy and reactions are still a hot topic in the NASCAR world, with many questioning whether they were fair and if they will have the desired impact. However, the 34-year-old driver believes that discussing the penalties in depth isn’t his place. He prefers to focus on racing, competing fairly, and working toward his goal. For Logano, the most important thing is staying focused on the track and not getting caught up in the controversy.

"It's kind of hard to say. The beneficiaries of it are still in it, and nothing happened. You tell me if it was good enough or not. Did it work or did it not? Was it worth it? I don't know, I'm not NASCAR. I'm not the person that can make the call on that stuff. Just driving cars. You just hope everyone races fairly."- Logano concluded.

Several teams have been the target of criticism, and many will now face hefty fines, which will certainly serve as an important lesson for them. On the other hand, fans are now turning their attention to the final race, eager for the exciting moments that lie ahead. Phoenix Raceway has the potential to deliver surprises and unexpected twists, making it a race no one will want to miss.
