After nine years spent in Los Angeles, Joey Bosa is ready for a new challenge in his career, and now he will continue his journey in the Buffalo Bills. This is certainly an interesting change for this talented defender, who was considered one of the best players of his generation from the very beginning.

Bosa came to the NFL as the third pick in the 2016 draft, recognized as a top defender. His talent was noticeable right away, as he already won the defensive rookie of the year award in his first season. It seemed that he had a bright future ahead of him, and it wasn't too long before he became the star of the league.

During his career, Bosa was selected to the Pro Bowl five times, but injuries unfortunately prevented him from fully achieving his potential. When he was healthy, Bosa showed great performances on the field, but injuries were a big problem, especially after 2017, when he achieved his best individual numbers (12.5 sacks, 70 tackles). Although he played a great few seasons, he managed to play all the games in only two years, while in another two seasons he played only a double-digit number of matches.

Chargers' decision

In the end, the Chargers decided to fire Bosa, even though he made an impressive 72 sacks in those nine years. Instead of joining his younger brother Nick in San Francisco, Bosa decided to sign a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills worth $12.6 million, which can increase to $15.6 million.

This contract gives him huge motivation to show his quality and achieve even greater success in the new team.

Bossa's signing comes in response to the firing of veteran Von Miller, while Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin also signed a one-year contract extension, a symbolic step after a serious incident more than a year ago when he suffered a heart attack on the field.

Given Bosa's motivation and quality, it remains to be seen how this new adventure with the Buffalo Bills will end, but without a doubt, he has another big opportunity ahead of him.
