The Eagles have completed an incredible comeback from the hell hole of this cruelly degrading and chaotic year and have jumped to the lead 31-29 against Green Bay in the game's closing stages. About a yard separated the Philadelphia Eagles and a win on their season opener in São Paulo.

There are less than a minute left til the end of the game, and the Packers have no timeouts left. There remained a third and goal mission with a one-yard-to-go scenario for the Eagles at the one-yard line where Richards would take a fatal blow of any foot ahead of time.

His plans were in his hands, and he would not have made a call any more than he had to use those exact words. He was ready to call the now well known infamous “tush push,” which was a popular rugby formation that had come to define the Eagles.

The outcome is less than pretty when Ponder has to enact that play. Utilizing brute force to ram blockers and provide the QB with a couple of inches. Quite fortunately for the Eagles, the very same Kelce helped in thwarting those plans.

Sirianni Unexpected Play

Nonetheless, Nick Sirianni stepped up alarmingly. Instead of executing the ‘tush push’ play, there was a bobbled snap that Saquon Barkley was able to secure only behind the line of scrimmage.

That failure forced the Eagles to opt for a flea-flicker field goal, which Jake Elliott finally converted. Kelce supported the offensive call because he understood the rationale behind the offensive call and took to social media to apologize for the pass.

Well, this lack of interference did change the outcome of the game. Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love completed an important pass to Jayden Reed, who returned the Packers to midfield. However, on the next play, Love suffered an injury and was replaced by backup Malik Willis who would be unable to help the team win.

He could not do what was expected of him and missed out a wide open pass which resulted in a ‘sack’ on him further pushing the defensive extending Eagles’ lead to 34-29.
