Ian Machado Garry Set to Return Against Joaquin Buckley, Match Officially Announced

Ian Machado Garry and Joaquin Buckley are all set to lock horns on December 14th at the Amalie Arena. This event is the headliner for UFC Tampa. This could turn out to be Ian Machado Garry’s toughest test yet and vice versa. Both fighters are on a solid winning streak and have beaten prominent names in the welterweight division. This fight could lay out a path to secure bouts with the top-tier contenders. But ya, Ian Machado Garry isn't fighting Shavkat Rakhmonov for the UFC interim welterweight title :(.

Joaquin Buckley is currently the No. 10 contender and has been relentless since switching to the 170-pound division. He’s currently on a 5 match-winning streak. Apart from that, it is really worth highlighting how this will be Joaquin Buckley’s 4th appearance of the year – that’s called being super active! On the flip side, Ian Machado Garry remains undefeated and is currently ranked 7th  he gained solid victories over Geoff Neal and Michael Page. It looks like he’s one strong win away from fighting a big name. The heavy-hitter contest between Garry and Buckley would bring technicality from the former and power from the latter to what promises to be a sizzling end-of-year fight.
