Dominik Mysterio, the popular wrestler and successor of Rey Mysterio, is known as a person who openly spoke his views, not mincing his words in the past.

The role of a heel suits him, and the Busted Open Radio episode was an opportunity for him to reveal that he did not think about the role of a heel when he came to the company.

The young wrestler imagined that together with his father he would make a great tandem, write history and leave a great mark. However, WWE leaders had different visions, feeling that the 27-year-old could have a different role. It was not difficult for him to get used to it, and everything seemed natural.

“I was thinking I’m Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, we’re going to be the best father, son tag team that has ever existed. Like that was what was going through my head when we started this journey. But I got a little bit of a taste of what it was to be a heel and it just felt so natural to me. I just felt so comfortable just because of being around it for so long as a kid.”- he said, as quoted by Pwmania.

Judging by the reactions of wrestling fans, most of them are delighted with his work and heel role. Dominik points out that it is very important how your fans perceive you, considering that you have ideas on how to present yourself and what to do to impress them.

The 27-year-old took this role seriously, noting that some of the wrestlers want to be heels that will be cool, but he looks at such things differently. Dominik believes that if you want to be a heel, then you have to completely surrender to it, not worry about the reactions of others.
