Dana White confirms Tom Aspinall as the backup fighter for Jones vs Miocic

Tom Aspinall moves one step closer to his dream fight; the president of the UFC, Dana White, recently took the time to address that Tom Aspinall will be the backup fighter for the upcoming heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.

The mega-fight has been scheduled to take place on 9th November at UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden. In most cases, backup fighters are the next title challengers; Tom Aspinall will most likely face the winner of Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic – considering they don’t retire.
