Conor McGregor slammed Belal Muhammad after he announced withdrawal from his scheduled title fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov (10th December UFC 310).
The welterweight champion pulled out because of a staph/toe infection. McGregor who is literally labeled as notorious didn’t hold back from unleashing the notorious side – he did so by lashing out at Belal Muhammad yet again. His abrasive nature did not mince words when he responded to Muhammad’s withdrawal via Twitter, he called for Belal to be stripped of his title. Interestingly, McGregor pulled out a few months back for similar reasons, a toe injury forced him from showing up for his scheduled bout against Michael Chandler.
— Championship Rounds (@ChampRDS) October 31, 2024Now, that Muhammad also found himself in the same position, hypocrisy is being sensed. Muhammad did not shy away and raised the aggression level of the encounter returning the insult and referring to the drug use controversy that followed McGregor. The exchange has simply just added more to the animosity that has been built up within the fighters.

Conor McGregor WENT OFF on Muhammad
"You lambasted UFC world champions multiple times on having to reschedule their bouts through injury, and now it has come down on you like a bomb from the sky. It is glorious to see!"#UFC #MMA pic.twitter.com/ke9eSjP47B
“Scutter talk just like your fighting, you lambasted UFC world champions multiple times on having to reschedule their bouts through injury and now it has come down on you like a bomb from the sky. It is glorious to see. No fight. No money. But staph infection. Bum. Stripped. Instantly. Zero knockdowns/any excitement or traffic or views or ticket sales in bout, and now also non-reliable to show? Strip. Cut. Infected fighter. You have infections”.
Belal Muhammad’s response
“My toe was a balloon “
