Cody Rhodes, a well-known name in the wrestling world, shared an interesting story on the Flagrant podcast about an incident that took place just before the All In PPV in 2018. The WWE superstar walked his dog, Pharaoh, who often accompanies him everywhere. That night, he had Pharaoh off the leash, which led to a confrontation with a man who felt it was dangerous. Although Cody knew Pharaoh was a friendly and non-aggressive dog, he stressed that he could have handled the situation better. However, he was frustrated with the man for getting into his space, which prompted Cody to react more aggressively than he should have.

“I got into a slight tussle the night before (All In) because I’m walking Pharaoh, my beloved husky who is always part of what I do. I had him off a leash. I was in the wrong. Pharaoh is chill. He’s not ever going to be a problem, but this man got in my face over it. ‘You shouldn’t…that’s dangerous.’ Probably right. He’s probably had a bad experience with a dog. You’re probably right. Something about it, maybe I had some caffeine in my system. He got so close that I felt like he had encroached on my space. I did shove him."- Cody Rhodes said, as quoted by Pwmania.

When Cody pushed the guy, he ended up tumbling backward into the bushes in a way that looked almost cartoonish, like something you'd see with Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin, Rhodes stresses. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Cody felt a wave of panic when he found out the guy had called the cops. Instead of trying to leave, he decided to stay in the lobby, knowing that if the man chose to press charges, it could really mess things up for him.

The next day was a turning point in Cody's career, as it was the first time he had a security detail. His wife, Brandi, was super protective, insisting that he couldn't leave the room without his bodyguard, Sam, who had to stick with him the whole time. It made Cody feel like he was being treated like a troublemaker, even though it all started with just one incident involving their dog. When he finally got to the venue, the whole situation felt pretty tense.

The popular wrestler was somewhat surprised considering the situation he found himself in. He did not expect that things could become complicated, and that his performance could be under question. However, everything turned out as he expected, and Cody is happy that things turned out in the best possible way.

These kinds of stories really highlight how difficult it is to be a public figure, especially a wrestler. Things can turn complicated in an instant, and it’s crucial to handle various situations carefully. In Cody’s case, he learned a lot from an incident that might seem trivial at first. However, even seemingly harmless situations can escalate and lead to unexpected consequences. This just goes to show that every moment can bring its own set of challenges, and staying composed is essential.

Cody Rhodes on his WWE future

In a recent interview, Cody Rhodes talked about his future in WWE, as well as what he sees for himself beyond being a wrestler. It seems this experienced performer is interested in exploring opportunities within WWE even after he steps away from the ring. Cody expressed a desire to take on a different role, suggesting that there are many elements of the business he finds interesting. He believes it would be fascinating to go deeper into those aspects, which could surprise some people.

There are some things that come with it that were surprising to me. It might sound cool, it might sound cheesy. There is an element of leadership involved that they don’t say, they just kind of plug you in.."- Cody Rhodes continued.

Cody shared that attending corporate meetings and events can be pretty daunting, especially since he usually isn’t in those kinds of settings. Still, he finds it exciting and knows it’s important to be engaged. He reflected on his past leadership roles in wrestling, admitting that he didn’t do as well as he wanted to, and understands why that happened. Now, he sees this as a chance to reconnect with that aspect of the business. Lately, he’s been thinking about what his future could look like in WWE beyond just being a wrestler, exploring other roles within the company.

The well-known name of the wrestling scene obviously wants to correct some mistakes he made in the past, and show that he is really ready for a new chapter in his career. Of course, it is too early to talk about that, considering that Rhodes hopefully has many more years of professional wrestling career ahead of him.
