Anthony Joshua may not be happy after his career defeat, but he is motivated and ready to get back on the winning track. The geat British boxer lost to Daniel Dubois in a match just a few nights ago, but he is determined to regain his rhythm and show that he is still a great fighter. It was a tough loss for Joshua, who spent most of the match in a challenging position before Dubois knocked him down in the fifth round in front of a sold-out Wembley in London. Through social media, Joshua chose to send a message to his fans, emphasizing the importance of looking at things from a positive perspective. He thanked everyone who supported him, regardless of the outcome of the fight.
"Yes, I know we fell short, but we need to focus on all the positive aspects," Joshua said.
"That’s the mindset and perspective we must have—a positive attitude. Always. Look at what we've achieved in 11 years; it's phenomenal, and I want to thank everyone who has stood by me. What a crazy journey."
The experienced Brit emphasized that he has achieved success many times in his career and expects to do so again. Joshua stressed that it’s not easy to achieve such milestones, but he believes in himself and his potential. He wants to continue working hard, putting in the effort, and analyzing what went wrong in his last fight. The British boxer feels he has much to offer to his fans and supporters. No matter what obstacles he faces, Joshua is determined to prove that nothing can destroy his love for boxing.
"But you know what the problem is? It’s not over yet. We succeeded once, we succeeded twice. Achieving it a third time isn’t easy, but I believe it’s something I can accomplish. It’s about taking the right steps forward, hard work, and proving myself, and that has to come from here (the heart) more than anything else. It can’t come from external voices or influences; it has to come from within. It’s only been one day, but when I sit down and reflect, I know I have a lot to give. I know I have a lot to offer."- Joshua said.
Tyson Fury reacts
The fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been talked about for years. However, the fight of all fights was never agreed upon, and in the meantime, both were taken down by the incredible Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. Fury will have a chance to avenge himself against Usyk in December this year and regain his championship status.
His reaction after Joshua's defeat is a clear indication that he was eyeing a match against his great rival. When Dubois knocked Joshua down in the fifth round, the camera caught a shocked Gypsy King.
"That just cost me 150 million," Fury shouted, to which he was told he would still fight him regardless of the title.
Fury then turned to the top boxing figure, Turkey Alalshikh. "You messed up. Turki, you better pay me right away," the former champion said.
He then approached Oleksandr Usyk, the man who handed him his first career loss. "Both of them schooled him in the ring. Respect. Those are the skills that pay the bills," Fury said.
Interestingly, the British boxer showed a massive respect for Usyk, despite having previously insulted him harshly. Everything changed after the Ukrainian defeated both Dubois and Joshua, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion. However, as soon as he stepped away from Usyk, he began talking again. "First, I'll fight that rabbit one more time, I’ll get my belts back, and then I’ll fight Dubois and have all the titles. That’s my plan," Fury stated.
Fans are awaiting the resolution of the situation and are curious to see what will happen with Usyk and his fight against Oleksandr Usyk. Fury is motivated to succeed and seek revenge for what happened in their last match. It's difficult to draw a clear conclusion about who might win this fight, considering both are excellent boxers. The Ukrainian is a fighter who has never lost in his career, leading many to believe he has a huge chance of victory.
"I believe I won. He took a few rounds, but I took the majority. Still, we both put on a great fight," Fury said, adding, "His country is at war, and people sympathize with such nations. I think I won this match."
Ussyk was not happy with his statements, but he will have the opportunity in the next match, if it comes to him, to show that he deserved the victory and to shut up those who criticized him.
