Alex Pereira is known as a fighter who has two sides to his personality; One side, the humorous one, when he makes fun of his opponents. The other side, a little more serious, when the opponents can understand that they have crossed the line. In both cases, Pereira knows how to be dangerous. When he's joking, he can be the most dangerous, and when he's dangerous, he's ready to destroy his opponent.

However, this experienced fighter has no plans to fight when it comes to Magomed Ankalaev, once their fight is agreed upon. Pereira sent a clear message to his opponent, stressing that he will make fun of his opponent.

Pereira was a guest on Ariel Helwani show, saying:

"If [Ankalaev] doesn't back up what he says, people have already seen me making fun of my other opponents.

Sometimes I joke and stuff, but this is the guy I'm really going to make fun of."

Jiri Prochazka reacts

Pereira's former opponent believes that Ankalaev should not enter into an open fight in the "stance". The Russian has repeatedly stated that he intends to fight Pereira in a standing exchange of punches. Although he hails from Dagestan, which is known for its grapling, he is consciously choosing a striking fight against one of the most dangerous punchers in MMA, or so he claims.

When Jiri Prochazka was asked in an interview on the Ariel Helwani Show whether Ankalaev has any chance in a fight against Pereira, he replied:

"I don't think so. Especially if he fights – as he said – only standing. I'm sorry, but no. If Alex is in the form he is shown in his last fight, 100% no chance."

It will be an interesting match between two quality fighters who will want to celebrate in this match. We know that both are of good quality and that they have their advantages. What do you think, who will emerge victorious from the octagon in the end?
