Luka Dončić was certainly one of the most beloved basketball players in the history of the Dallas Mavericks, and his popularity among fans is not waning. It seems that one Dallas fan could not get over his departure, so he decided to make a somewhat incredible and risky move to show his loyalty.

Dončić became a true idol for many Mavericks fans, but his status in the NBA was also extremely high, thanks to his amazing games and incredible successes on the court. Many considered him one of the best young players in the history of the league, and he was especially adored in Dallas, where he left an indelible mark.

Fan passion crosses borders

In a recent video posted by the famous influencer Gigi Michelle on YouTube and TikTok, this topic comes to the fore again. Michelle interviewed Dallas Mavericks fans and asked them provocative questions. One of those questions was asked to one of the fans who, apparently, is still deeply attached to Luka Dončić.

The question was an unusual one: "Would you give up your girlfriend to Luka Dončić if it meant he would return to Dallas and the Mavericks?"

At first glance, this question seems like something that could be taken seriously, but the fan's response was shocking.

"Yes. Of course, yes. One hundred percent," the fan replied, adding, "I think that's a very good answer and that it's a very good deal. Of course I would."

This answer was certainly not what most people would expect, but it was a reaction that many fans could have taken as humorous.

Other fans gave similar answers, with one even laughingly adding, "Both my mother and my girlfriend, let him choose."

Statements like this only confirm how deeply emotionally connected Dallas Mavericks fans are to their team, even to the point of being willing to make serious, and somewhat bizarre, sacrifices.

Considering that Luka Dončić is now a star in the NBA, he would probably laugh at such statements. However, it is still very likely that he will remain loyal to his current team, as long as there is no reason to return to Dallas.
