The next potential UFC bantamweight title challenger, Umar Nurmagomedov, was present at UFC Noche and carefully watched the bantamweight title fight. Merab Dvalishvili seamlessly dethroned Sean O’Malley. In the Octagon interview, Merab was asked if he was going to defend his belt against Umar Nurmagedov.
Hesitance was noticed, but a few moments later, he said he would fight anyone Dana White asked him to. Merab has never been a fan of Umar Nurmagomedov’s climb to the top; he feels Umar got a shortcut because of Khabib's privilege.
It was in the post fight press conference, where Merab expressively said that Umar Nurmagomedov should fight Petr Yan next because he feels Deveison Figeuredo is a worthy opponent for his first title defense.

Merab Dvalishvili on Umar Nurmagomedov not deserving a title fight
Merab Dvalishvili explains why he feels Umar Nurmagomedov does not deserve to fight for the belt.
Merab Dvalishvilli doesn't think that Umar Nurmagomedov deserves a title shot yet:
"I don't see Umar Nurmagomedov (have a) big challenge, yeah maybe he's a good fighter but number 1 thing, he doesn't deserve a title fight because he's fighting nobody's"
