It would be a grave mistake to assume that Tyron Woodley’s overall fighting career ended with a knockout loss against Jake Paul. Tyron Woodley still trains, and he could return to the ring sooner than most people think.
You guys can count on me; I had the privilege of meeting Tyron Woodley. Based on the conversation we had, he said he trained to remain active and could show up for a fight soon.
Over the recent months, he was offered multiple fights.
Following are the names with whom he was supposed to lock horns with:
- Floyd Mayweather
- KSI
- Mike Perry
Tyron Woodley on the opponents he was offered
Recently on the OverDogs Podcast, Tyron Woodley spoke about the fights offered to him.
“I was supposed to fight Floyd [Mayweather Jr.] in June," Woodley said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. "It was never supposed to be [John] Gotti [III], That fight was me originally. I was supposed to fight KSI in January last year.
He flaked out and took Dillon Danis. I got offered to fight you, Mike. I’m pretty sure you got offered to fight me. I said, ‘I’m not fighting my dog for no * peanuts. If we was gonna fight for real, we would have fought in the UFC, and that’s a hard-ass fight, he at the top of the game”.
