Luka Doncic is the main topic of the day in all world media regarding basketball.
The emotional return of the Slovenian basketball player at the visit of the Los Angeles Lakers against the Dallas Mavericks was completed by his incredible game.
The Lakers won 112:97, and it was Doncic who led them to victory with 45 points, eight rebounds and six assists!
A particularly emotional part was before the start of the game when Doncic could not hide his tears because of the video dedicated to him by Dallas.
You can watch his best moves from the game below, but what everyone is talking about is his statement where he "dotted the i" on his relationship with the Dallas Mavericks.
"Everyone saw me and the way I reacted to the video before the game. All these fans, I really appreciate this. Thank you all," he began in a post-match statement to ESPN, adding:
"Thank you to all my teammates who were there for me tonight. I'm happy now, I'm so happy. Everyone knows that I love these fans and I love this city, but it's time for me to move on."
It was clear to everyone from the start that this great player never wanted to leave Dallas on his own, but Nico Harrison, with Patrick Dumont's permission, got a different idea about Doncic. Now I can only cry.
JJ Reddick reacts
After the match, Lakers coach JJ Reddick also made a statement about Doncic, who specifically emphasized that Doncic turned out to be very brave, considering that he showed emotion and vulnerability as a man.
"The moment with his video and him sitting alone on the bench and getting the chance to live in that moment and see it all live, it's incredible. He allowed himself to be vulnerable," Reddick began, adding:
"His ability to continue after that and have a game like this when the lights came on. It's incredible. We all saw his teary eyes when he came out on the court for the layup.
Luka Doncic is showed his emotional strength; to be able to play this game like this despite all the emotions and everything that's been going on for him - that's the quality of a superman, a superhuman, whatever you want."
