Kyle Larson is a well-known name to motorsport fans. A man who has been doing great things in the world of NASCAR for years, has the same motives in the years to come. The question is, however, whether he wants to achieve this in NASCAR or some other competition. According to rumors, Kyle could continue the story in F1.

Broadcaster Jack Arute is one of those who deepened such rumors during an episode of SiriusXM Nascar Radio. The 74-year-old referred to rumors that the HMS driver could be part of the F1 scene in the future. Arute puts an accent on the statement of McLaren team boss Zak Brown, who admitted that Larson could be an interesting option for any team, including McLaren.

"I've known Zak all the way back when he was racing formula Fords, and congratulations for winning the Constructors Championship," Arute said, as quoted by Kansas City.

"I also know just how bloody important this entrant in 2026 is to Chevrolet and the Bow Tie Brigade. So it wouldn't surprise me if Zak is onto something, but it wouldn't be a full-time ride. I think the next American that will be headed over to Europe will be Colton Herta."

Jack Arute reacts

Arute has a high opinion of the 32-year-old, knowing him well, just like NASCAR fans. Arute is impressed with the way Larson is adapting to the NASCAR scene. We have no doubt about his qualities, but the question is whether Larson will be ready for the next step. F1 is an interesting challenge, especially when some doubt that you have a chance to succeed. Some expect it to be a huge motivation for Larson.

The broadcaster had positive experiences with Kyle, and Larson can be especially happy considering that Tony Kaanan, a popular driver associated with the McLaren team, only had words of praise for Larson
