Philadelphia defeated division rival Washington 26:18 in the first game of the 11th round of the NFL championship. There is no winter for the Eagles when receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith are healthy, as well as superstar running back Saquon Barkley. The powerful runner, a rookie from the Giants, continued to strike fear into the NFL Championship.

His explosion in the last quarter settled the divisional duel with Washington and gave Philadelphia a 26:18 victory and stay in first place in the NFC East and continue the fight with Detroit for the pole position in the conference before the January playoffs. The host struggled for three quarters. The Commanders' excellent defense stopped the attack of the team from Pennsylvania for 45 minutes.

Even the quarterback of the team from the capital of the USA, Jaden Daniels, could not do much in the attack, Dan Quinn's team did not separate, and then there was a reversal in the last part of the match.

First, quarterback Jalen Hurts moved the score to 12:10 with a "quarterback snap". It should be noted that Philadelphia kicker Jake Elliott had a bad day, missing two field goals of 44 and 51 yards in the first half, as well as an extra point in the last part of the match. The guests fell in the finish, and Barkley settled the match with two touchdowns.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni reflected on Elliott's performance, not wanting to talk about his player in a negative light. Elliott is the hope of the team and a person from whom much is expected when it comes to the continuation of the season. Sirianni stresses that it is important to show Elliott how much they believe in him, considering that he can be the key link of this team when it comes to the future.

“Jake has been so clutch his entire career and his entire time that I’ve been here, too. Just like I would say to somebody that fumbled or dropped a pass in a moment, ‘We believe in you. You’re going to have to make a kick to help us win this football game.’ He did to get us up 16 points and 8 points or whatever it was. We have so much faith in him and that’s what you do.”-Sirianni said.

Daniels threw an intercepted pass that was caught by Philadelphia defender Blankenship, with the score 19:10 for the home team. In the end, Washington only mitigated the defeat, the second in a row, but the team from the capital is still in the place leading to the playoffs, with a score of 7-4. The Eagles are 8-2, while NFC leader Detroit has one loss.

Barkley ran for 146 yards on 26 attempts. Hurts was safe, 221 yards passing. On the other hand, Daniels collected 191 yards, and completed 22 passes out of 32 attempts. The best of the guests was Austin Ekeler, who is a running back, but in this match he caught the ball eight times for 89 yards.

After the match, Saquon Barkley reflected on his team's victory after a great performance. The 27-year-old impressed the fans with his performance, and after the match in a conversation with reporters, Barkley primarily pointed out that he was happy with the cooperation of his offensive line.

"The offensive line, we just kept leaning on them and trusting them and we popped it off at the end," Barkley said.

Nick Sirianni: That was the talk at halftime

The fans wanted to know how Sirianni motivated the team.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni knew how to motivate the team at halftime and give them instructions on what to change if they wanted to win. Sirianni knew that his team would face a difficult task and a huge challenge. He is happy with the resilience shown by his boys in key moments.

In key moments, the Eagles showed maturity and unity, which was the reason why they celebrated this time. Impressive performances by individuals, but also a great team spirit in general, proved once again to be a recipe for victory.

"We just kept going," Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said, as quoted by UPI.

"That was the talk at halftime. Hey, it's a street fight. It's not about who is tougher, it's about who is tougher longer. ... Just great resilience for our guys."

It will be interesting to see if Sirianni's team can be equally effective in the duels that are on the calendar. Siranni has the right to be happy with the additions within the team, which can help his team achieve the goals it envisions this season. Sirianni has high hopes for this team, believing that great things are ahead of them.
