Coming off a huge victory in Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys had a hiccup in Week 2, going down to the New Orleans Saints in a beat down at home. The Cowboys’ defense is expected to be one of the league’s elite, but it struggled big time and allowed 44 points.

The New Orleans Saints veteran running back Alvin Kamara was at his best, scoring four touchdowns and leading the Saints to an impressive win. This retailing approach has shocked many, given that Dallas performed impressively well in its first week of games.

The Cowboys seemed to have moved on from all the offseason distractions as they easily overpowered Deshaun Watson and the Browns. However, this was not the case when they faced the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. It was evident that the Cowboys had a lot more work to do.

As the Cowboys prepare to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3, they are looking to bounce back from the last defeat. The Bronx seeks to find its footing once again and aspires to go above .500 in what is set to be a congested NFC East division.

Ferguson Set to Return

The Cowboys' offense will likely improve significantly since head coach Mike McCarthy has positive news about tight end Jake Ferguson. Ferguson, who has been out with an injury, now looks ready to return.

“Jake looked good today. I’m going to put him at where he would be at, a full practice assessment,” the head coach said, according to Jon Machota of the Athletic. For quarterback Dak Prescott, Ferguson's return would provide him with another dependable pass option, enhancing the Cowboys’ offense.

The tight end has been very effective for Dallas, and his inclusion could see the team’s offense resurgence. In this regard, though, the Cowboys will require much more than mere scoring against a Baltimore Ravens team with defensive animus.

The Ravens have lost their last two matches to the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning champions, and the Las Vegas Raiders. The stakes are high for both teams as they look to get back on track in Week 3.
