Dominik Mysterio is doing incredible things in the wrestling scene, and he will make sure that he is growing every week, doing fantastic things. The 27-year-old had great mentors, primarily his father, Rey Mysterio, one of the biggest WWE stars.
Following his example, Dominik entered the wrestling scene, having a completely different role than his father. Fans are impressed by the rapid growth of this wrestler and the popularity that grows day by day.
Former WWE referee Mike Chioda spoke to the media about Dominik, explaining what kind of character he is outside of wrestling and the cameras. Chioda revealed that Mysterio has a completely different persona than the one in the ring.
“I know he’s the best at being a heel, and I’m so proud of Dominik,” Chioda said, as quoted by Pwmania.
“He is far from a jerk; he’s the most respectful young man I know.”
Chioda is someone who has known the Mysterio family for years. Dominik appeared on the wrestling scene even as a kid, and the WWE referee had the opportunity to see in which direction he was developing. He didn't forget to mention Rey's daughter.
“I’ve watched him grow up over the past 20 years because I’ve known Rey and Angie for many many years,” he said. “His daughter Aalyah is beautiful. They raise their kids beautifully.”
The veteran WWE referee was shocked when Rey revealed to him that his son would go into business, become a wrestler, and that he would train him. Given the fact that Chioda has been a part of the sport for years, he was amazed at how quickly time has passed. A boy who dreamed big with his father became a wrestling star.
The popular referee has a strange feeling about everything, especially because of the speed of the passing of time. The general impression is that he is delighted with what Dominik is doing. Do you also think that time has passed too quickly since the moment when the 27-year-old appeared on the wrestling scene as a kid and coming to the world of wrestling as a star?
Fans of this sport often ask questions: Would Dominik be as impressive if he didn't have Rey as a mentor? Of course, having a mentor like an experienced wrestling star is definitely a great way for you to progress, but in order to take a step further in your career, it is crucial that you have the talent, motivation, and desire to become a star.
The member of Judgment Day had all of the aforementioned characteristics, and Rey knew that he wouldn't have much trouble guiding him on the right path. Chioda stressed that Rey's son absorbed and learned things quickly. Of course, this was also helped by the experience of a kid who could follow his father's work and, from an early age, be ready for what awaits him.
The WWE referee admits that sons of popular wrestlers also strive to become part of this sport, but mostly unsuccessfully. Dominik is an example of a wrestler who never thought about giving up, believing in his potential and characteristics. Do you think his mindset was the key to success?
Dominik Mysterio on Rey Mysterio's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame
The 27-year-old is known for rarely going out of character. Playing the role of a heel isn't easy, but Dominik has been doing a great job so far. Speaking to Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Mysterio pointed out that his father, Rey, doesn't deserve to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The heir to the Mysterio lineage believes that his father should lose a match to him first and hand over the mask to him.
“I still don’t think he was worthy of it. [The walkout] was necessary, yeah, now that you bring it up, I do remember walking out, yeah, I think it was because I felt some type of way. I don’t believe he deserved to be in the Hall of Fame, at least not yet. Once he loses to me and gives, gives up his mask and stuff, then maybe, but I have no say in it.”- he said.
The young wrestler has great ambitions and plans for the future, but he still doesn't want to talk about it. His mysteriousness, unique character, and specific style are the reasons why many people love wrestling. Some believe that his role will evolve, and that we will see a different version of Dominik from year to year. Your opinion: Should the 27-year-old really remain the same character, or are changes necessary for his progress?
This will be decided by the WWE leaders, who certainly have impressive ideas for the future.
