After qualifying in sixth place at the Italian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton expressed his frustration with the performance, stating that it was not good enough. The Brit, who has consistently demonstrated his amazing abilities throughout his career, was clearly disappointed with the outcome in Italy, feeling that he could have achieved much more. The 39-year-old was brutally honest in his post-qualifying remarks.

“I’m not very good. Simple as. Simple as that.

I am just not very good at qualifying.”-Lewis Hamilton said, as quoted by Crash.

The reporter, somewhat surprised by Hamilton's statements, asked him, "But you haven’t just suddenly got bad?" The Brit didn't hesitate and admitted that he feels as though he has indeed become worse. He emphasized that the only thing he can focus on now is to keep working hard and improving.

“I clearly have. I can’t put a lap together. It’s unbelievably frustrating.

I’ll keep working at it. That’s all I can do.”- he continued.

He explained to Sky Sports that qualifying has been a weakness for him for some time, and he is struggling to understand why.

His teammate, George Russell, showed much more, finishing in P3. It seems that Russell didn't have high expectations for this race, given that Q1 and Q2 were challenging for him. Nevertheless, he is pleased to have pulled through under such circumstances.

Russell's aim is to work hard, find his rhythm, and try to catch up to his rivals. The experienced Mercedes driver is aware that many teams are competing for top positions and believes that it will be a tough battle until the very end.

The F1 season has never been this exciting, especially when it comes to the fight among several teams.

George is motivated for the race, with intriguing expectations for what lies ahead.

Russell joked that he would be eating pizza that evening to gain some energy and a few extra pounds, and he is optimistic about achieving a great result.

It will be interesting to see how Lewis Hamilton, who will be driving for Ferrari from next season, performs in this race and in the upcoming ones. The Briton, with his wealth of experience, has the potential to make a huge impact and achieve great things. However, his current starting position does not inspire much optimism for a great result. On the other hand, George Russell is in a different situation. With a solid foundation under him, he will be aiming for top positions. The Briton is determined to give his all and bring joy to the fans of his team.

The Briton doesn’t have much space or time left to end his story with this team on a high note. Hamilton has frequently delighted the team’s leaders and fans by winning championships. It seems Lewis has come to believe that this team lacks potential, so he will aim to break Michael Schumacher’s long-standing record with Ferrari. The Briton is determined to achieve this milestone. It remains to be seen if the Italian team can provide him with everything needed to accomplish such a feat.

Lewis Hamilton: Making the decision to leave was one of the hardest

A few months ago, Lewis Hamilton surprised the public by confirming his decision to leave Mercedes, a turn of events that few had anticipated. The Briton is grateful for his time with Mercedes, the team where he achieved the greatest successes of his career. Leaving this team was not easy, but at 39, Hamilton chose the best option for himself. He decided to embark on a new adventure, making a bold move to join the Italian team with a storied history of success. Hamilton also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the team’s leaders, who were always supportive and instrumental in their shared achievements.

"I’ve spent an incredible 11 years with this team and I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved together. Mercedes has been a part of my life since I was 13 years old. It’s where I grew up, so making the decision to leave was one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make. But now is the right time for me to take this step, and I’m excited to embrace this new challenge. I will forever be grateful for the amazing support from my Mercedes family, especially Toto for his friendship and leadership. I want us to finish on a high note together. I am 100% committed to delivering the best performance I can this season and ensuring that my final season with the Silver Arrows is one to remember."-Lewis Hamilton said.
