Last year, there was a multi-vehicle accident in Dallas, and the main character in that event was Rashee Rice, a talented 25-year-old wide receiver from Kansas. Namely, the court decided that this athlete must serve 30 days in prison, with a five-year suspended sentence, for causing an accident with serious injuries.

The report states that Rice's expensive "Lamborghini Urus SUV" was driving at a speed of 191 kilometers per hour, or 119 miles per hour, which highly exceeded the speed limit on that section of the highway. In addition to the speed, it was also determined that the driver performed "several aggressive maneuvers in traffic" that further contributed to the danger on the road.

Legal consequences and financial compensation: What will happen?

The court in Dallas took into account that the talented athlete from Philadelphia was guilty of two serious violations: causing a traffic accident with serious bodily injuries and participating in illegal races on the highway that caused injuries to other participants.

Before the guilty verdict was reached, the 25-year-old paid over $115,000 to cover the medical expenses of the victims of this accident. However, this was not enough to free him from court sanctions. Also, last year he issued a statement in which he apologized and expressed remorse for the whole situation.

However, his absence due to an Achilles tendon injury in the right leg during the fourth weekend of the season significantly affected the team, which failed to win a third consecutive Super Bowl. Still, the impressive 6-foot-1 wide receiver contributed to the Chiefs' latest big win over the San Francisco 49ers, 25-22, in Las Vegas.

The incident is a reminder that even top athletes are not above the law and that responsibility on the road must come first, regardless of popularity or status.

The question is how this case will end and whether the great NFL player will bear the serious consequences of such an act. This is not a new phenomenon when it comes to the NFL scene and players, as they often know how to break the law.
