Jos Verstappen has responded to the announcement by Racing Bulls, who welcomed Yuki Tsunoda to the team, following Laim Lawson's surprise departure from Red Bull. The change produced a lot of reactions, with many believing the Austrian team made a bad decision after replacing Lawson with Yuki Tsunoda.

However, after just two race weekends in his first season as a Red Bull driver, Lawson now moves to Racing Bulls, while Tsunoda will take his place starting at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Jos Verstappen reacts

Jos Verstappen, Max Verstappen's father, reacted to this decision via social networks, expressing his support for the New Zealander.

"I really hope you do a fantastic job. You deserve to be in F1."-Jos Verstappen said.

Max's father wanted to support the young driver, feeling that the leaders of Red Bull made a hasty and wrong decision. There is no doubt that this kind of support will mean a lot to Liam.

The head of Red Bull, Christian Horner, stressed that this decision was made only for "sporting reasons". The team felt that Lawson had problems adapting to the RB21 during his first races, so it was necessary to act quickly so that Tsunoda, with his experience, could take the helm and help the team in the rest of the season.

Red Bull have made it clear that their primary goal is to defend the drivers' title and regain the constructors' title, which is why this change was necessary. Horner also stressed that Tsunoda's experience with the car could be quite useful for the development of the current car.

Liam Lawson returns to Racing Bulls for the Japanese Grand Prix, while Yuki Tsunoda will make his Red Bull debut at his home track in Suzuka, where he hopes to achieve his dream; standing on the podium.

Time will tell whether they did the right thing or not.
